7 songs of the refugee
Set design and graphic profile for “Flyktningens 7 songer” (7 songs of the refugee), by Grenland Friteater.
Grenland Friteater writes about the performance:
“When Georg Johannesen published his reinterpretation of Tu Fu’s 1200 years old texts in 1968, they felt strangely current. In the years that have passed since, the texts are still current, and constantly make a deep impression on reader and listener.”
“Tu Fu lived in the highly turbulent 700-century China. Chinese critics have called him a poet-historian and the wise poet. While he for Western readers have been called a Chinese Vergil or Shakespeare.”
